Bethany C. Warner
Bethany Warner has been practicing law since 1997 and started the firm in 2006 in order to focus on Real Estate, Business, and Estate Planning law. Bethany Warner has been practicing law in Traverse City since 2003. She is a founding member and Past President of Martinus of Northern Michigan, a Catholic Business Group, the Secretary of the Bishop's Pastoral Council in the Diocese of Gaylord, a Board Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a founding member of a local real estate group, a member of the Economic Club of Traverse City, and involved with the Women's Council of Realtors.
Ms. Warner graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in 1997.
Corinne R. Galusky
Corinne R. Galusky has been practicing law since 2000. She joined Bethany C. Warner & Associates in 2009. In 2011, she was appointed as Counsel for the City of Melvindale, Michigan. During her appointment, Ms. Galusky negotiated the merger between the Melvindale and Dearborn fire departments on behalf of the Melvindale fire departments. As Counsel for the City of Melvindale, Ms. Galusky handled all aspects of legal services for the city, including the negotiation of labor agreements, the recommendation and drafting of ordinances and policies, the negotiation and drafting of general contracts for the city, the purchase and sale of real estate, and the writing of grants. Ms. Galusky also handled personnel matters, including retirement, health care, and workers compensation issues since the city did not have a personnel department.
Prior to joining Bethany Warner & Associates, Ms. Galusky was an attorney at Dykema Gossett in Detroit, Michigan and DTE Energy Company where she assisted with corporate compliance and governance, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and purchase orders, and advising employees. Ms. Galusky holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Detroit and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University.
Ms. Galusky also has significant experiences with purchases and sales of businesses and liquor license transfers.
Shana L. Popp
Shana L. Popp has been practicing law since 2001. She joined Bethany C. Warner & Associates in 2020. Prior to joining Bethany C. Warner & Associates, Mrs. Popp served as the General Counsel for a global manufacturer of specialty products headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, and the Associate General Counsel for a large international steel manufacturer, headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. Prior to that, Mrs. Popp served in private practice with two prominent law firms in Detroit. Mrs. Popp handles a wide range of transactional matters, focusing her practice on business and commercial transactions, commercial and residential real estate transactions and estate planning. Mrs. Popp also has extensive experience in corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and U.S. Customs and international trade law.
Mrs. Popp graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1998 and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2001. In 2017, Mrs. Popp was recognized by First Chair as one of the nations Top General Counsels as a result of being nominated by her peers.
Mrs. Popp is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys traveling and adventure with her husband, Ken, and their two beloved dogs, Lucy and Poppy.
Erin R. Sika
Erin R. Sika has been practicing law since 2020 at Bethany C. Warner & Associates. She graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from The University of Toledo College of Law. Mrs. Sika specializes in Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Administration, Real Estate, Business Law, and Litigation. Mrs. Sika is involved in Traverse City Young Professionals and Business Network International. Mrs. Sika played collegiate volleyball at Lourdes University while pursuing her Bachelor's degree and served as an Executive Editor of the University of Toledo Law Review while in law school.
Laura A. Liberty
Laura A. Liberty has been practicing law since 2014, after graduating Cum Laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Prior to joining Bethany C. Warner & Associates in 2021, Ms. Liberty held a managerial position with a global firm specializing in Tax Preparation and Audit Representation. Ms. Liberty practiced as a Circular 230 Tax Preparer, specializing in the preparation of Business and Estate Tax Returns and representing clients in a variety of matters before the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Liberty currently specializes in Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Real Estate, and Business Law.
Ms. Liberty holds Certificates of Training in Civil and Domestic Mediation. She served as Vice Chief Justice of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School Judicial Board, which served to hear and decide upon the merit of grievances brought forth by student organizations. Ms. Liberty also volunteered as a judge for the Youth in Government debate competition for middle and high school students from all over the State of Michigan.
Ms. Liberty loves the outdoors, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters hiking, rock hunting, and discovering all of the natural wonders that northern Michigan has to offer.
Jonathan D. Hagy
Jonathan D. Hagy has been practicing law since 2019 and joined Bethany C. Warner & Associates in 2023. Before joining Bethany C. Warner & Associates, Mr. Hagy worked as a criminal defense attorney for four years in the Isabella County, Michigan Public Defender’s Office. Mr. Hagy also serves as a reservist in the Michigan Army National Guard as a JAG (judge advocate general) officer, where he specializes in providing legal advice to commanders, assisting soldiers with estate planning and legal needs, and the administrative processes unique to military law. Mr. Hagy has served in the military over sixteen years between active duty and reservist duty with the National Guard and has been on several overseas deployments in service of the United States.
Mr. Hagy is an Eastern Michigan University graduate with a degree in Aviation Management and earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating cum laude. Mr. Hagy also graduated from the U.S. Army’s JAG training program at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia on the campus of the University of Virginia. Mr. Hagy handles a range of transactional matters, focusing his practice on real estate, business formations and transactions, and estate planning.
Mr. Hagy enjoys the small-town feel of Traverse City along with the distinct seasons and colors unique to Northern Michigan. Mr. Hagy loves to spend his free time with his wife and traveling to unique locations.
